Guatemala produces many different types of the world's finest and most distinctive coffees. Of the three non-volcanic regions, Huehuetenango is the highest and driest under cultivation. This area is one of the best regions in Guatemala for coffee production. Huehuetenango, is at the foot of the Cuchumatanes, the highest non-volcanic mountain range in Central America. Coffees from Huehuetenango are exceptional coffees with distinct acidity and fruited flavors. SHB (Strictly Hard Bean) specifies that the coffee was grown at an altitude above 1350 meters. EP (European Preparation) specifies that the raw beans are all hand sorted to remove any defective beans and foreign material.
